Practical tech for modern teams

Editorial Standards

Accela is a tech news and guides site for modern business and IT teams. We are a team of 10, we started in 2026, and we aim to be a great resource for tech news. These are the standards behind everything we publish.

Who we write for

We serve modern business and IT teams — IT managers, operations leads, security practitioners, founders of growing companies, and anyone whose job touches the tools a business depends on. Our content is written to help those teams make better technology decisions.

How we source stories

Our daily tech roundups and coverage are built from reporting by established outlets, including TechCrunch, WIRED, Mashable, and The Verge, along with vendor and primary sources such as company announcements, documentation, and security advisories.

We include source links in our articles so readers can see where information came from and check it for themselves. Stories are reworked in Accela’s own words. We do not copy text from our sources.

Accuracy: what we do and do not publish

Facts are checked against vendor and source sites. We do not invent facts, prices, scores, or review counts. If a fact cannot be verified from a source or vendor site, we leave it out or clearly qualify it.

Best lists

Our ranked Best service lists are health-checked and reviewed at the beginning of each month. The criteria we use to rank them are explained on our Methodology page.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it. Readers can email [email protected] with a correction. Material corrections are noted, and the page’s updated date is changed. Best lists are health-checked and reviewed at the beginning of each month, and a date is never advanced on a broken page.

Transparency

Any sponsored content, if ever published, will be clearly labelled as sponsored.

What our content is not

Our content is general information for business and IT teams. It is not legal, financial, or professional advice for a specific incident. For ransomware, security, or legal decisions, readers should confirm facts on vendor and source sites and get professional advice before acting.
